Detailed and realistic depictions of landscape of local and faraway places characterize his paintings of earlier period. His more recent paintings emphasize more on expressiveness, while striving for a balance between detailed focus area and looser supporting elements. Everything Is a Rendition: Drawings Paintings Photographs Cary Arts Center Principal's Hall Friday, November 30–Sunday, January 6, 2019 Artist Reception: Friday, November 30 | 6–8 p.m. Medium: Mixed Media Members from Cary Photographic Artists and Fine Arts League of Cary look forward to this "exploratory" exhibit and expect viewers to have fun in the process. This exhibit gives two sample sets of renditions (each containing both paintings and photographs) from selected scenes and subjects. Each individual rendition may be seen differently by different viewers. Nanette S. Zeller, of Southern Pines, North Carolina, is a mixed-media textile artist whose work is inuenced by her love and study of nature. Her art quilts are a testimony of her passion, frequently carrying a message for protection of our natural resources. Chris Ogden: Stones Echo—Visual Poems Written on Quarry Walls Page-Walker Arts & History Center Wednesday, October 10–Saturday, November 24 Artist Reception: Friday, October 26 | 6–8 p.m. Medium: Photography Chris Ogden, a noted North Carolina professional artist, debuts his 10-year project of elegant and thought- provoking ne art photographs from dimension stone quarries. The images weave together a trinity of predominant themes, played out on the theater of sheer rock faces: mystery, time, and elemental cyclical changes. November Cary Photographic Artists 10th Annual Open Juried Photography Exhibition Cary Senior Center Thursday, October 25–Friday, December 14 Artist Reception: Friday, October 26 | 6–9 p.m. Medium: Photography This will be the Cary Photographic Artists 10th Annual Open Juried Photography Exhibition. The Cary Photographic Artists formed in January 2007 as a club dedicated to learning, teaching, and sharing photographic art. It is the only club in Cary focusing on photography as a viable ne art form.
