Apply enamel to a small, precut copper shape to create an original pendant, bracelet, or pair of earrings. Copper pieces are purchased from the Cary Arts Center and kiln- red by instructor during this workshop. Instructor: Ginny O'Neal Fees: $25(R) $30(N) (1 class) 117567 Tue Nov 27 4:30–6:30 p.m. Cuttlesh Casting (16 & Up) Cuttlesh casting is a simple and traditional metal casting technique that takes advantage of the splendid properties of a nely porous bone-like internal organ. Because cuttlebone can withstand high temperatures and is easily carved, it serves as mold-making material for small metal casting for the creation of jewelry and small sculptural objects. Prerequisite: Beginning Metals & Jewelry class at the Cary Arts Center. Rene your metalworking skills focusing on design and construction. Successful completion of a Beginning Metals class qualies students to purchase a Metals Studio Card to access the studio and use the equipment to work on individual projects.
