Pigmented beeswax, melted on a heated palette, is applied with brushes. It hardens immediately and must be fused with a heat gun. Techniques such as scraping, incising, transfer, and collate will be used to create unique paintings. First panel and painting supplies are included. Simplication of scenes and how to deal with constantly changing weather conditions will be demonstrated. Demonstrations will be done in watercolor, but students may work in the medium of their choice. Instructor Ryan Fox has won awards in national juried shows and his works have appeared in Watercolor Artist Magazine and Splash: The Best of Watercolor hardcover books.
