OUTDOOR RECREATION PART TWO 80 REGISTER ONLINE: classweb.townofcary.org Archery for Seniors (age 50 & up) Come learn the basics of archery! Learn how to set up a bow and archery basics, including shooting, safety, and scoring. All equipment is provided. No prior experience is needed. This is an outdoor program; dress appropriately for the weather. Watch and learn about beavers, turtles, and more! No experience is needed. Paddling practice is at 7 p.m.; nature tour is at 7:30 p.m. Canoe and kayak rental is included. Fee is per boat. Course covers personal preparation, equipment choices, and strokes essential to efcient paddling in a Bond Lake-type environment. Approximately half the time will be spent on the water. Through this program, you will learn the steps to shooting success as taught to Olympic athletes, earning awards as they master skills at different levels. Your own equipment is highly recommended but not mandatory. All members are required to join USA Archery within two weeks after starting the program. This is great for archers who want to practice but may not be seeking a structured training environment. A USA Archery instructor will be present during all sessions to provide tips. Must have attended Intro to Archery course. All equipment is provided. You may use your own bow. Max draw weight 35 lbs. This hands-on class will teach you everything you need to know to successfully build and repair arrows. Led by USA Archery coach. All equipment is provided.
