INSTRUCTOR SPOTLIGHT Harry Dammers Harry Dammers is a newcomer to Cary. He and his wife, Caro- lyn, recently moved here from Florida in order to be close to their daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughter. Harry attended St. John's University in NYC and Adelphi University on Long Island, NY. He then taught science for 42 years on the junior high, high school, and community college levels. The bulk of his career – 38 years – was spent teaching chemistry and AP biology Glastonbury, Ct. After retiring in 2011 he was active in adult education in Sarasota, Fl and has brought his passion for knowledge to the Cary Senior Center. ON THE COVER Learn new techniques, increase your recipe library, or just join the group for a fun morning of cook- ing and sampling all that was created for that particular class. In addition to the cooking ses- sion, we will discuss selection of alternate ingredients for healthier selections, ease in preparation, smart shopping with the season, etc. All classes are 'hands-on' and encourage creativity for all.
