Intellectual interactions with diverse people from various cultures promote ethnic diversity and understanding! Painting with Rocky This teacher will dazzle you with color and life! Explore watercolor techniques such as wet into wet, dry brush, and washes to produce skies, clouds, water, rocks, and more! Learn what materials to use to improve the success of your own painting! Location: Classroom 302 Instructor: Rocky Alexander BEGINNING WATERCOLOR PAINTING Learn about watercolor painting, including paints, brushes, paper, what to use, where to get it. Then you will learn many of the beginning elements of a landscape: skies, clouds, mountains, rocks, trees, shrubs, lakes and oceans. Fees: $40(R) $52(N) (4 classes) 116439 Fri Sep 7–28 9:30 a.m.-noon CONTINUING WATERCOLOR PAINTING You will continue to learn basics of watercolors, focusing on elements of a still life, including fruits, vegetables, vases and baskets, with a few flowers thrown in. Fees: $40(R) $52(N) (4 classes) 116435 Fri Oct 5–26 9:30 a.m.-noon PAINTING HOLIDAY CARDS IN WATERCOLOR You will use the instructor's resources to learn how to paint fun, easy or complicated holiday cards. You will receive handouts for inspiration, techniques for painting or masking borders and some templates to follow, as well as places to have cards printed. Bring a class project of one you've begun at home. Everyone can benefit from each other's partially completed projects.
