Microsoft, Google and IBM are also providing competitive offerings of digital assistants that will, most probably, change our lives in many ways without touching a keyboard or looking at a computer screen. Automobiles are rapidly embracing this new technology as well to enhance your driving experience and make it safer. This seminar will introduce you to this emerging technology of Artificial Intelligence with specific focus on the Apple SIRI function and help you put it to use in your life right now. In the three classes, you will learn: 1) the basics of the Macintosh operating system, including the file management system, the menus and preferences, 2) using the included applications and 3) using the online Mac App Store, and other trusted sources, to obtain applications and the best ways to purchase a Mac. You will be provided with the course slides for you later reference. Bring you Mac laptop as well as your Apple ID and password. Fees: $15(R) $20(N) (3 classes) 115972 Mon/Wed/Fri Oct 22–26 1:30–4 p.m. IOS BASIC: INTRODUCTION TO IPAD AND IPHONE This course will focus on mobile devices from Apple to illustrate their capabilities and underlying concepts. In this course you will be shown how to set up these devices and be provided with a brief overview of the many applications (apps) available including the Find My iPhone app. Bring your iPad and/or iPhone along as well as your Apple ID and password.
