4 Fall 2018 Cary Senior Center Special Events Dementia Friendly Community FREE (ages 18+) Join us for an educational and empowering community event addressing dementia in our area. Gain resources and insight on caring for someone with dementia, living with dementia, and dementia's effects in North Carolina. Learn how Cary citizens are creating a more dementia- aware community. Local advocates and experts will be on-site along with valuable information to inform and empower our community as we re-imagine dementia together. Location: Ballroom 115111 Fri Oct 12 1–4 p.m. Annual Veterans Luncheon (ages 18+) FREE Join the Town of Cary as we honor all Veterans during this annual luncheon event. A patriotic program, catered lunch, and entertainment await you. Donations are welcome. To reserve your spot, register by October 26. Location: Herb Young Community Center, 101 Wilkinson Ave 115067 Fri Nov 9 11:30 a.m.–1 p.m. Witches Tea In the spirit of the season, join us for a wickedly good time! "Eye of newt, and toe of frog, wool of bat, and tongue of dog!" – what possible surprises will we brew? Tasty treats and hot teas, or maybe some lizard legs and spider knees. You'll want to join us for a ghostly good time! Although not required wear your favorite costume to be eligible for best costume! To reserve your spot register by September 24. Location: Ballroom Fees: $10 (per person) 115069 Wed Oct 3 2–4 p.m. Fall Line Dance Party Look sharp and dance with all your friends. This special event will be highlighted with music from yesterday and today. Enjoy a large spread of appetizers. Event theme will be announced mid-September.
