13 Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources Softball NTC Academy—Softball Pitching Clinic (age 11–18) This clinic is for players who have been pitchers. Instructors will teach players the proper pitching progression. By the end of the clinic, pitchers will be executing full pitches to catchers. The focus will be on the fastball and change-up. Topics include the fundamentals of hitting, such as stance, hitting position, balance, bat path, bat speed, and follow-through; opposite field hitting; and hitting for power.
