SPORTS PART TWO 108 REGISTER ONLINE: classweb.townofcary.org Spring youth baseball and softball registration forms will be available January 15. The program registration form in this brochure is not valid for this activity. The Town of Cary has moved from Town-wide organization of spring youth instructional baseball and softball leagues for age 5–10 to an organization of those leagues by geographic zones. The goal is to permit participants in those leagues to practice and play games more frequently at locations closer to their home. The Town is divided into a West Zone, a Central Zone and a South Zone. The fields located in each of those zones can be found on the map at the right. In most age groups teams will have half or more of their games in the zone in which they are registered. In the age groups with the smallest registration numbers, leagues or even teams may be created from multiple zones and practices and games may take place in multiple zones. For more information refer to the Spring Baseball and Softball FAQ page at http://bit.ly/1q09tkU. If you still need further assistance, please call (919) 469-4062. Baseball and softball leagues age 11–18 require fields of a certain size and layout to play. The Town does not have fields in each zone of the necessary size for the older leagues. Therefore, league play for age 11–18 is not divided into zones. See league codes below. The younger, instructional leagues can play on fields of any dimension, and we therefore can accommodate play for those leagues in any zone. See league codes and map zones for ages 5–10 on next page.
