The Queen's Cartoonists offer a tour-de-force of the Swing Era's zaniest and most creative music from the 1920s all the way to the present day. Whether you're a fan of "Looney Tunes," "Merry Melodies," "The Simpsons," or the old Disney classics, you'll find something to swing along to! This music survives in the memories of anyone who grew up watching cartoons or listening to classical music. Velvet Caravan Friday, April 12 | 7:30 p.m. Rooted in the Gypsy Jazz/Gypsy Swing and Latin Swing styles, this high-energy, acoustic-based quintet has emerged as one of the shining lights of Savannah's burgeoning music scene. Velvet Caravan plays upbeat tunes from all over the world with thunderous virtuosity and a relentless sense of humor. Bringing together the eclectic sounds are a motley crew of super talented musicians from Venezuela, the Great Northwest, the Heartland, the Atlantic Northeast, and the Coastal Empire. "St. Patrick's Day Celebration" with Bill Leslie Page-Walker Arts & History Center Sunday, March 17 | 4 p.m. Tickets: $16 Bill, a former news anchor at WRAL-TV, is a new age music composer and recording artist who, along with his World Music band Lorica, performs traditional as well as Celtic fusion music. This will certainly be a special afternoon for attendees. Marvelous Music: Mainstage Series Come to downtown Cary to enjoy incredible evenings of entertainment with the Marvelous Music Mainstage Series. The 2018–19 season marks the eighth year of presenting this beloved series in the restored historic Cary Arts Center. The series showcases a variety of emerging and nationally acclaimed touring artists. Doug and Jennifer both understand the joy and exhilaration only music can provide. It is no surprise then that their children inherited that same understanding and passion for music. Masters of Soul Friday, February 15 | 7:30 p.m. Masters of Soul is a celebration of the legendary songs and performers that defined Motown and soul music.
