These, combined with creative techniques, will allow the painter to travel his own path to create work that is limited only by his imagination and a willingness to explore. Even in the rule- free world of abstract art, however, there are standards that allow us to recognize the successful from the unsuccessful, and the class will also discuss the values that inform a successful abstract painting.
