This seminar will talk about the most popular eReaders and eReader apps; how to purchase eBooks; how to check out eBooks from the Wake County Public Library, and the best places to get free and low-cost eBooks. Learn techniques for taking better pictures, and then upload and view them on your computer. Fees: $15(R) $20(N) (3 classes) 119922 Mon/Wed/Fri Jan 28–Feb 1 1:30–4 p.m. LISTENING TO PODCASTS Listen to your favorite radio shows anytime and anywhere you want--FREE! This 1-day seminar will get you started on streaming or downloading podcasts. A podcast is a recording of a radio show that is available for FREE subscription and download. They have limited sponsorship announcements instead of commercials like broadcast radio. Learn what you need to know about listening to podcasts in this informative free seminar. Get step-by-step instructions in class and take home a manual so you can listen to what you want when you want--you're in control! Fees: $5(R) $6(N) (1 class) 119957 Thu Jan 31 1:30–4 p.m. TAKING, EDITING AND SHARING YOUR IPHONE/IPAD PHOTOS Over 80% of all photos are taken on mobile devices. Most of those photos are still on the device that was used to take them. This workshop will discuss the best way to take, edit and share those digital photos on your iPhone/ iPhone. Bring your iPad/iPhone and learn how to take, edit and share great photos. Microsoft, Google and IBM are also providing competitive offerings of digital assistants that will most likely change our lives in many ways without touching a keyboard or looking at a computer screen. Automobiles are also rapidly embracing this new technology to enhance your driving experience and make it safer. This seminar will introduce you to this emerging technology of Artificial Intelligence with specific focus on the Apple SIRI function and help you put it to use in your life right now.
