Location: Classroom 303 119704 2nd Monday 12:15–1:45 p.m. Using the Five Senses for Writing Has a scent ever recalled a childhood memory which you wished to capture in words? Or maybe a sound has ignited your imagination to paint a picture you wished to put into writing. Using your five senses, you will evoke memories, images and feelings which you'll then put into words for personal reflection or to share with others. Bring paper and writing instrument. Location: Conference Room Instructor: Ann Smiley Fees: $11(R) $15(N) (6 classes) 119885 Tue Jan 8–Feb 12 1–2 p.m. Turning Dreams Into Reality Workshop (age 18 & up)@BPCC Whether you have one great idea or a whole list of life goals, this class will give you practical skills to turn your dreams in to a reality. Students will use a variety of tools and methodologies to translate abstract dreams into quantifiable and actionable plans. You will leave class with a roadmap to success! Location: Bond Park Community Center Instructor: Jessica Rich Fees: $25(R) $33(N) (1 class) 120228 Wed Jan 16 6–8:30 p.m. Dog Obedience 101 (age 16 & up) @ BPCC Learn the importance of your role as leader and teach your dog self-control. Learn how to teach your dog to sit, down, come, stay and to walk on a loose leash without pulling, resulting in improved behavior in public as well as at home. This course is for dogs 3.5 months and older. WIRELESS ACCESS The Cary Senior Center is Wi-Fi from end-to-end. Bring your personal laptop computer, iPhone, PDA or other Wi-Fi- enabled device and take advantage of this free Wi-Fi service. BOARD GAMES Whether you prefer checkers to Scrabble or chess to backgammon, grab a friend or two and play one of our games. Games are stored in Classroom 303. MOVIES Watch movies at the Cary Senior Center. Check with the front desk for room availability. A brief orientation is required before the first use.
