Adults actively involved in music making show a decrease in anxiety, loneliness, and depression. BEGINNER UKULELE FOR FUN 101 Ukuleles have exploded in popularity over the past 10 years. This class will introduce you to an easy and fun instrument to learn and to play. We will first discuss how to buy an inexpensive ukulele. Playing the ukulele, besides being fun, helps develop use of hand and finger muscles to improve dexterity. You will learn a variety of simple songs on your ukulele in this class to expand your musical horizons. Supplies list available at CSC front desk. We will continue with more advanced grammar and will have a special emphasis on conversation and vocabulary- building. You will learn basic CPR skills, how to use a breathing barrier, how to help someone that is choking, and an introduction to purpose and use of an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED). Optional: Infant CPR & choking will be reviewed following class for those interested. You will not receive a certification card for this class but will leave with the basic knowledge of how to help someone in trouble.
