Creating ACTIVE Retirement Years (919) 469-4081 43 Fitness & Wellness Restorative Yoga @ MCCC This gentle yoga class will bring you a sense of peace as you move through poses slowly and hold them for extended periods of time. Using props as support, you will hold poses to stretch muscles and connective tissues to bring relaxation and calmness to your body and mind. Yoga mats provided but please feel free to bring your own. When was the last time you focused on yourself? We are constantly bombarded with information and demands, at work, by family, and by our own expectations. So much so that we never get a chance to relax and renew. In this class, we will combine gentle yoga postures with relaxation, meditation and breathing exercises to let go, refresh, renew and find a mind/body connection. Reducing stress can improve your overall health and help you sleep better. If you want to improve your posture, strengthen your back & core muscles, release & strengthen tense neck & shoulders and improve your balance, this class will guide you through various stretches and gentle yoga postures to help you feel stronger. Discover how yoga can improve the health of your joints and muscles, increase your flexibility and help to reduce stress.
