WHAT'S NEW AT THE CENTER: New RFS Service Coordinator Our beloved Theresa Trimble has decided to retire as the Resources for Seniors Service Coordinator. We would like to thank her for the many years of serving our wonderful population. Theresa has left us in the very capable hands of Heather Acuri. Heather is a native of Wisconsin where she completed her Bachelor's Degree in Special Education. Before moving to Cary 14 years ago, she lived in Southern California, where she studied Interpretation for the Deaf. She got married and later moved to Cary to start a family. For the past 7 years she has worked at the Cary Senior Center as a Center Aide, and you may have seen her at the front desk with a warm smile greeting you as you entered the lobby. Heather maintains an office at the center and can assist you with a variety of questions regarding many different resources that are available to Cary seniors. In her free time, Heather enjoys traveling, reading and spending time with her husband and 3 children. Stop in to say hello and welcome Heather in her new position today! EVENT SPOTLIGHT Dinner and a Concert Join us on Saturday, January 26 at 5:30 for dinner followed by entertainment. The Cary Senior Center and Marvelous Music Mainstage Series presents an unforgettable evening. Join us for a catered meal served by the Cary Teen Council followed by the musical performance of the Next Generation Leahy. Building on over three generations of musicianship, Doug and Jennifer Leahy and their six children are keeping the Leahy tradition alive through Celtic-based music, song, and dance. Doug and Jennifer both understand the joy and exhilaration only music can provide. It is no surprise then that their children inherited that same understanding and passion for music. More information can be found in the Events Section of this Brochure.
