Design, engineer and build projects using LEGO ® materials such as X-wings, R2 units, energy catapults, defense turrets and settlements. Using your imagination and engineering skills, create motorized and architectural projects to defeat the Empire! Find Platform 9 ¾, build Hogwarts Express Train, work cooperatively to construct the mysterious Hogwarts Castle, and soar on the wings of a Norwegian Ridgeback Dragon. Travel to a world of wizardry and hone your magic skills while learning about Muggle (STEM) concepts. Location: Herbert C. Young Community Center Instructor: Play-Well TEKnologies Fees: $139(R) $169(N) (5 classes) 123403 Mon–Fri Jul 22–26 9 a.m.–noon T4 Make-ups will be scheduled and/or credits issued if classes are cancelled by Cary Tennis Park (CTP). Classes that are cancelled while in progress and have completed 50% or more of the session will not be rescheduled. CTP is not responsible for classes missed due to student conflicts. INCLEMENT WEATHER Player Development Program The Cary Tennis Park (CTP) is a national leader in the area of tennis player development. CTP staff have created a comprehensive pathway for children of all ages and abilities, providing the necessary skills and introducing them to an active lifestyle through the sport of tennis. The CTP Player Development Program emphasizes competition and training formats tailored to the age of the child. Each of the classes listed in this section will incorporate the following four components: • Independent racquet and ball coordination -- participants will work individually on hand-eye coordination skills • Cooperative training -- participants will work together to develop basic rally skills • Technical skill development – participants will learn fundamental strokes and footwork skills • Interactive games and play Introduce your child to the exciting world of tennis by signing up today!
