PART TWO HALF DAY CAMPS 44 REGISTER ONLINE: classweb.townofcary.org Baseball & Softball Mini Intros MINI INTROS are small group lessons for the beginner just starting out. We believe that with smaller groups, Instructors can provide greater attention to each player to help develop the skill or to development the fundamental skill set. They will be limited to 4 players, unless otherwise noted. Mini Intros can be booked through the Town of Cary EZ-Reg system and will be added onto EZ-Reg during the monthly lesson release. At the time of release, you will be able to view the specific focus for each Mini Intro. You can also view available Mini Intros on the NTC Programs webpage. Intermediate Softball (age 8–14) Have you played at least two seasons of softball? This camp is for you! Review the fundamentals of the game and, then, hone skills, strengthen game strategy, and practice smart base running. Specialized training available for pitcher and catcher positions. Bring a softball glove. All other equipment will be provided. Confident on the field and in the batter's box? Join us to practice skill-development drills that strengthen your throwing, catching, fielding and hitting. Focus on fine-tuning player mechanics and understanding strategies that win games. Wear softball pants and cleats. Bring your own equipment. Participants who register for this camp should be playing, or have played, school or travel softball. The 6-session program will combine strength, conditioning, agility, mechanics, skills, speed and power. We will cover all aspects of the game including throwing, fielding (in and out), hitting, bunting, slapping, base running, on- field communication and winning strategies.
