6 Summer 2019 Cary Senior Center Arts & Crafts c Arts & Crafts Kick off to Summer FREE Class DECORATIVE LETTERING WORKSHOP: CHANCERY LETTERING STYLE FREE 50+ With these beginning workshops, students will practice a different decorative lettering style each session, while learning about the essential tools of calligraphy: India ink, dip pens and a variety of pen nibs. Have fun applying your new lettering style for an inspirational quote to embellish a note card or other stationary project. Sign up for one session or all three. The use of tools and materials is included in the $2 supply fee per session. Location: Classroom 306 Instructor: Ginny O'Neal (1 class) 125450 Sat Jun 1 12–2:30 p.m. SPECIALTY PAPERWORK CRAFTING: AMERICA & THE BEACH (2 cards) FREE Each class offers you the chance to make beautiful handcrafted cards and unique paper crafts! Whether you are a beginner or experienced stamper, you will enjoy learning creative stamping techniques and innovative paperwork designs. See basic supply list of items to bring to each class (everything else is supplied). Registration ends a week prior to class. Location: Classroom 306 Instructor: Chaille O'Neal 125467 Mon Jun 3 1–3 p.m. FLORAL ARRANGING WORKSHOPS- SWEET SMELLS OF SUMMER FREE Fresh flowers bring cheer to your home and they brighten your soul! Learn how to arrange fresh flowers with Patti Kiley. Bring your willingness to learn, all other materials are provided. Everyone takes home a fresh flower arrangement! Registration ends a week prior to the class due to supplies. Location: Classroom 303 Instructor: Patti Kiley (1 class) 125458 Mon Jun 3 1:30–3 p.m. LEARN TO COPPER ENAMEL FREE 50+ These Copper Enameling Workshops are for beginners or returning students, learn step by step instructions for the copper enamel process to design a colorful fashion pin, pair of earrings, pendant or a magnet. Small pre-stamped copper pieces will be kiln fired by instructor during this workshop, ready for completion and take home. The cost for colorants, equipment and one copper piece are included in the class fee. Another copper piece will be available to purchase and complete during the workshop for an additional $1. Sign up for one workshop or all three.
