Calligraphy Modern Brush Calligraphy (age 14 & up) Using Tombow Brush Markers, you will learn the basic stroke sequences that comprise modern calligraphic lettering. After learning the letterforms, you will use multiple colors for rainbow lettering. Supplies included. Instructor: Dara Linn Fees: $36(R) $47(N) (2 classes) 127284 Thu Oct 17–24 6–8 p.m. The Art of Calligraphy (age 14 & up) With this introductory hand lettering class, you will practice a choice of calligraphy styles from traditional to contemporary. Using essential tools of calligraphy, India ink and dip pen, apply lettering skills to complete an inspirational quote for embellishing a notecard, bookmark or other scrapbooking project. Supplies included. Class will include upper- and lower-case letters. Learn to dance the letters on the line to add visual interest. Supplies included. Focus will be on minuscule (lower case) letters. Learn to dance the letters on the line to add visual interest. Supplies included. Thirty-minute break for lunch. Successful completion of a Beginning Metals class qualifies students to purchase a Metals Studio Card to access the studio and use the equipment to work on individual projects.
