Silver Naturalists (age 55 & up) Experience nature in a peaceful setting designed for easy wildlife viewing. You'll have an opportunity to ask questions about common plants and animals during indoor presentations and leisurely nature walks. Meet at Bond Park Community Center. 127179 Thu Dec 5 10–11:30 a.m. Adult Nature Workshops (age 18 & up) Pick up tips, techniques and hands-on experience to prepare you to get started on your backyard projects. Meet your neighbors and make new friends while enjoying these informative workshops. Fees: $14(R) $18(N) (1 class) BETTER BACKYARDS FOR WILDLIFE Discover how to attract wildlife like birds, butterflies and other pollinators to your backyard. Bring your camera! 127171 Sat Oct 26 2–4 p.m. WINTER BOTANY 101 We will cover ID of native trees, shrubs and other plants by bark, buds and other methods. Hand lens provided. 127173 Sat Dec 7 10 a.m.–noon Early registration allows us time to plan appropriately. Often times we are able to accommodate those on waiting lists by adding additional spots in the class or adding additional classes. Classes that do not meet their minimum enrollment are generally cancelled. You could make the difference! DON'T WAIT! Nature Education classes may involve traveling over rough or uneven terrain. To help prevent injuries, closed-toed footwear is required. Rubber boots, hiking shoes, or sneakers are recommended; do not wear flip-flops, Crocs, sandals, or other open-toed shoes.
