PARKS PART THREE 154 REGISTER ONLINE: classweb.townofcary.org Robert V. Godbold Park 2050 N.W. Maynard Road, 27513 Godbold Park is like three parks in one! It features tennis courts, basketball courts, a playground, and trails. It's also home to Cary's Dog Park for our four-legged, furry friends and Sk8-Cary for bike and skate enthusiasts! Details about the Dog Park and Sk8-Cary can be found in the facility listings in this guide. Hours: Sunrise to sunset; in lighted areas where visitors are participating in an approved extended use activity, hours are extended until 30 minutes after the completion of the activity or 10 p.m. Features: Six tennis courts (lighted), two basketball slabs (lighted), playground, picnic tables, restrooms, and trail with exercise stations. Rose Street Park 110 Rose Street, 27511 A quaint, neighborhood park, Rose Street Park holds the distinction of Cary's smallest park. This little treasure is a great spot for a toddler play date or a pick-up basketball game. Hours: Sunrise to sunset Features: Basketball slab, playground with swings, and picnic tables. Sears Farm Park 5077 Sears Farm Road, 27519 Sears Farm Park is a wonderful place to enjoy all seasons with a shaded lawn area and playground, paved trails, unique landscaped areas, and a giant sculpture that little ones can climb on and move. Hours: Sunrise to sunset Features: Play lawns, playground, picnic shelter, basketball slab, kinetic sculpture, and restroom. New Hope Church Road Trailhead Park 2575 New Hope Church Road, 27519 Situated in northwestern Cary and adjacent to the American Tobacco Trail (ATT), the 12-acre site is the only trailhead along the ATT that was built and is maintained by the Town. It serves as an important parking facility for Cary residents and users of the ATT and it is also one of the few locations in Wake and Chatham counties along the 22-mile ATT that offers drinking water and restroom facilities. Hours: Sunrise to sunset Features: 100-space parking lot, parking for horse trailers, picnic shelters, restrooms, public art, and an open space lawn. North Cary Park 1100 Norwell Blvd, 27513 One of the favorite parks in town, North Cary Park features a multitude of activities, including a unique climbing boulder, sand volleyball courts, athletic fields and courts, and a playground for youth. Hours: Sunrise to sunset Features: Soccer field, two basketball slabs, four sand volleyball courts, playground, picnic shelter, picnic tables, restrooms, climbing boulders, and trails. Old Reedy Creek Road Trailhead 2139 Old Reedy Creek Road This trailhead is the starting point for the Town's 7.0-mile Black Creek Greenway and an access point for the East Coast Greenway. These trails connect westward to White Oak Creek Greenway, and the American Tobacco Trail and eastward through Raleigh then southwards along the Neuse River. The trailhead provides access to scenic Lake Crabtree overlooks, Wake County's mountain bike trails linking to Lake Crabtree County Park, and hiking and biking trails within the 5,000-acre Umstead State Park. Dunham Park 519 Walnut Street, 27511 Whether you're enjoying a competitive game of tennis or watching the kids slide, whirl, and dig, Dunham Park is fun for everyone. "Dad" Park, as it is often called, is named after R.S. Dunham, a former teacher who taught at Cary High School for 40 years.
