Celebrating 40 Years of Cary Greenways Cary Arts Center Principal's Hall Friday, November 29–Sunday, January 19 Reception: Saturday, December 7 | 2–4 p.m. Medium: Photographs The Town of Cary is celebrating 40 Years of Cary Greenways! As a part of this celebration, Cary held a photography competition that showcases Cary's unique network of greenways. Area professional photographers and amateurs submitted their best photographs of Cary's Greenways. Red Ribbon Student Poster Show Herbert C. Young Community Center Gallery Wednesday, October 23–Wednesday, November 20 Media: Mixed Each year, area middle school students express their creativity during Red Ribbon Week by creating posters that help promote drug and alcohol awareness. This program is a joint sponsorship of the Cary Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources Department and the Cary Police Department. Judi H. Bastion: Stone Barns Page-Walker Arts & History Center Wednesday October 16–Saturday, November 23 Artist Reception: Friday October 25 | 6–8 p.m. Medium: Art Quilts Judi H. Bastion is a quiltist who combines photography and quilt design. Each of the 12 quilts in the Stone Barns series is an original design using traditional quilting techniques, inspired by photographs taken at Stone Barns Center in Pocantico Hills, New York.
