NATURE EDUCATION PART TWO REGISTER ONLINE: classweb.townofcary.org 83 Junior Naturalist (age 5–8 w/ caregiver) Spend quality time with your child in programs that encourage you both to develop your naturalist skills and your understanding of local nature. Together, through outdoor investigations in the preserve, become better acquainted with plants and wildlife while enjoying a shared learning experience. A parent attends with each child, and fee covers both. Then create a magical garden of your own with your family. 127676 Sun Oct 6 2–3:30 p.m. FAMILY NIGHT HIKE Stroll through the preserve, hearing tales about spiders, bats, owls, and other Halloween creatures. 127677 Sun Oct 27 6–7:30 p.m. FALL FAMILY NATURE HIKE Discover how wildlife gets ready for winter! Learn about owls, squirrels, and other backyard wildlife. 127678 Sat Nov 9 2–3:30 p.m. Tales & Trails (all ages w/caregivers) Experience nature in a whole new way, together! Listen to and become a part of 'tales on the trails' at Hemlock Bluffs. Each session will focus on a specific nature concept. A slightly shorter program will take place in the event of rain. Fee covers the entire family. Fees: $18(R) $24(N) (1 class) STORIES AROUND THE CAMPFIRE Explore the forest as the sun is going down. Then listen to stories and enjoy s'mores around the campfire. 127673 Sat Oct 19 6–7:30 p.m. 127674 Sat Nov 16 4:30–6 p.m. 127675 Sat Dec 21 4:30–6 p.m. A participant wanting to withdraw from a class, program, or league that has not been canceled by the Town must request to be withdrawn in writing at least seven (7) calendar days before the scheduled start of a class, program, or league's first game. The participant will receive, at the discretion of the participant, either a 100% account credit or a refund less a 15% service fee. If the program fee is $30 or less, a $5 service fee per program will be applied instead of the percentage. REFUNDS/WITHDRAWALS EXPLORE NATURE TOGETHER
