Share ideas and create items such as dishcloths, afghans, mittens and caps, which would make wonderful gifts. Help will be provided as needed. Location: Classroom 303 127306 Every Tuesday 1–3 p.m. (no meeting 12/24) Beginner Knitting Have you ever wanted to learn how to knit but haven't been able to find an instructor? Have you seen others wearing beautiful handmade knitted projects and thought…I wish I could make something like that. Well, look no further. The Cary Senior Center will be offering a beginners knitting session! During the 8 week course you will learn the basics such as casting on, binding off, knit and purl, garter stitch and stockinette stitch. When the class is finished you will be able to comfortably tackle other knitting techniques. Students will supply their own materials. Location: Conference Room Instructor: Luci Lambert Fees: $66(R) $86(N) (8 classes) 128774 Mon Sep 9–Oct 28 9:30–11:30 a.m. Scrapbooking Our Lives: Creat- ing Heritage Scrapbooking Scrapbooks allow us to preserve and pass along those memories and stories to the next generations. What can we say about our lives that will provide insight into who we are? In this course you'll create a scrapbook album you and your family will treasure. This is your chance to pull all those pictures off your camera and phone and out of your boxes and drawers. Learn how to design powerful scrapbook pages that include pictures, memorabilia, and journaling. Learn how to embellish with pop- ups, hidden journals, rubber stamps, and die cuts. No experience required but if you have scrapbooks you started in the past, bring them to class and get help completing them. You must be present for the first day of class in order to take the series.
