4 Fall 2019 Cary Senior Center Special Events Annual Veterans Luncheon (ages 18+) FREE Join the Town of Cary as we honor all Veterans during this annual luncheon event. A patriotic program, catered lunch, and entertainment await you. Donations are welcome. To reserve your spot, register by November 1. Location: Herb Young Community Center 126820 Fri Nov 8 11:30 a.m.–1 p.m. Stocking Stuffing Party (50+) FREE Calling all volunteers, we need you and your holiday spirit to help with the 4th Annual Stockings of Joy Project. Join us as we stuff all our collected donation into stockings hand decorated by other seniors in the community. This program benefits local community elders in need of a little extra joy during the holiday season. We have partnered with Homewatch CareGivers and many Wake County Businesses to spread the Joy of the Holiday. Baskets of Joy are also made for our local Jewish family services. Stocking recipients will be people served by Wake County Adult Protective Services, The Center for Volunteer Caregiving, Meals on Wheels, Transitions LifeCare, Heartland Hospice, Duke Hospice and UNC Hospice. Location: Ballroom 126818 Wed Dec 4 10 a.m.–4 p.m. Fall Line Dance Potluck FREE Look sharp and dance with all of your friends. This special event will be highlighted with music from yesterday and today, and dancing. Event theme will be Fall Colors. Admission is a dish to share.
