All classes take place at Stevens Nature Center at Hemlock Bluffs Nature Preserve. Young Ecologists (age 10–13) Build confidence and make new friends while expanding your knowledge and appreciation of the environment. Each session involves a field excursion with a classroom session relevant to a specific nature topic. Equipment provided. Fees: $8(R) $10(N) (1 class) SUNSET WETLAND SURVEY Search for salamanders, owls, and more! Equipment provided. 128019 Sun Nov 17 4–6 p.m. Hemlock Nature Quest (age 13–15) Think you have seen everywhere at Hemlock Bluffs? Think again! Journey to the far corners of the preserve on a quest to find nature rarely seen by others. Dress for the weather and off-trail conditions. And, bring your sense of adventure! HNQ participants are eligible to volunteer as program assistants for our younger nature programs. Fees: $12(R) $16(N) (1 class) NOCTURNAL WILDLIFE SURVEY Search for owls and the other active wildlife after the sun sets.
