9 Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources Mixed Media Design Masters (age 11–15) These three in-depth classes are designed to develop drawing, painting, and design skills using primarily watercolor and acrylic paints. Color theory will be stressed along with other design fundamentals such as form, texture, and space. Come dressed to get messy! Instructor: Jill Rinehart THE TEMPERATURE OF COLOR Discover the way color choices affect the overall feel of a painting. Practice one-point perspective and using warm and cool colors to create cityscapes, dreamscapes, spooky forest roads, and underwater worlds. Use acrylics, watercolors, and pastels. Successful completion of a Beginning Glass class qualifies students to purchase a Glass Studio Card to access the studio and use the equipment to work on individual projects. Open Studio is scheduled on Tuesday evenings from 5–9 p.m. and Saturdays vary. Please see schedule in the studio for details.
