To shield himself from the turmoil outside, Jiang began drawing and writing. His art reflects a combination of western and eastern cultural roots and has been widely awarded, collected, and exhibited. He is the founder and director of the Village Art Circle Fine Art Gallery in Downtown Cary. Jiang's Lazy Daze artwork derives inspiration from the bronze statues of children playing outside of Town Hall.
