This series will focus on a variety of gardening topics from working with certain plants to composting to planting for the season and much more. Come bloom with us! January GARDEN RAILROADS Bring another artistic element to outside decor. Look at different types of Garden Railroads and plant designs in them. Thu Jan 9 9:30-11:30 a.m. 002103 February TOMATOES- FROM SEED TO SAUCE! The middle to end of February is the perfect time to start seeds for late spring planting. This class will explore the art, science and luck of successful tomato growing. Tips for trellis management, seed selection, soil amendment and predator control. Thu Feb 6 9:30-11:30 a.m. 002104 March BIRD SONGS See and listen to birds you're likely to find in your yard in winter and spring. Learn how to find bird songs online and on your phone. Learn about different species of birds, what they eat, and where they build their nests. Fri Mar 13 1:30-3 p.m. 002105 April WEEDS "All about Weed in Your Landscape: How to ID and Make Them Go Away" by Leah Dail, Wake County Extension Master Gardener. Landscapes are full of plants, but some of the plants may not belong there. Learn how to identify common weeds and how to prevent them from growing in your garden and, if they manage to grow, how to get rid of them.
