This full featured Office suite includes all of the standard office components including word processing, spreadsheet, and slide presentations and more. This class is for those who have mastered Computer Skills 1 and 2 (or have equivalent experience). Although the class is taught using Windows 10, versions are available for Mac and Linux platforms, users of these systems will also benefit. A basic understanding of MicroSoft Office is usual but not required. A student Flash Drive is required (Available for $10 at the Front Desk.) It is part of the MS Office applications suite, which you may purchase separately for use at home. This course will provide in-depth information about the functions of Excel and will explore techniques and ideas for creating Excel spreadsheets that are useful for seniors. You can record and analyze data about such diverse topics as money management, budgets, taxes, investments, bills, hobbies, and even games like Sudoku. We will discuss searching the internet with search engines such as Google and Bing. Did you know that Google has Calendars, Maps, YouTube videos and more? We will explore the many features of Google. Finally we will teach you how to set up a Google account and use Gmail. This hands-on class is all about prevention and the avoidance of frequent or major repairs.
