Learn steps as you dance to beach music, giving you the confidence to get on the dance floor! Beginner and Level 2 classes available each season. A great and unique form of exercise! Mon Apr 20–May 4 7:30–8:45 p.m. 001642 (3 classes) Tap Program Feel the beat and move your feet to the music in one of our tap dance classes. Appropriate tap shoes are required. Wear tap shoes or hard soled shoes for the first class; tap shoes (available from any local dance store) will be discussed the first day. Classes take place January 8–May 27 Location: Exercise Room Instructor: Connie Belton TAP, THE NEXT LEVEL You've practiced your shuffles and can flap with the best of them. Now is the time to challenge those feet with tried and true tap combinations. Whether a Buck Time Step, Soft Shoe Essence or an intermediate combo, you'll practice rhythm and foot memory as you tap your way to good health. Every Wednesday 2–2:50 p.m. 001707 BEGINNING TAP Get your heart a-pumping and your feet a-tapping as you learn basic tap steps that build into simple dance routines. What a way to tap into life! Wear tap shoes or hard soled shoes for the first class, tap shoes (available from any local dance store) will be discussed the first day. Every Wednesday 3–3:50 p.m. 001706 TAPPY FEET You can accomplish shuffles and flaps in complicated combos but now you want more. Get your tappy feet moving with advanced tap choreography set to a variety of music styles from Big Band to Rock-n-Roll. Emphasis is on sharpening memory through dance; learning additional advanced combos; and increasing stamina, balance and strength.
