Meet your neighbors and make new friends while enjoying these informative workshops. Location: Stevens Nature Center Fees: $14(R) $18(N) (1 class) WETLAND ADVENTURES Explore the amazing world of frogs and salamanders that are now laying eggs in the temporary pools. Net included. Sat Feb 29 10 a.m.–noon 000177 BACKYARDS FOR WILDLIFE 101 Find out how to make your backyard an oasis for birds, butterflies and bees. Bird box is included. Sat Mar 21 10 a.m.–noon 000178 SPRING BOTANY MADE EASY This annual field workshop will cover ID techniques of wildflowers, ferns and other spring plants. Hand lens included. Sat Apr 18 10 a.m.–noon 000179 Adult Nature Day Trip: Coastal Ecology (age 18 & up) Explore Goose Creek State Park and Mattamuskeet National Wildlife Refuge. Our tour will start at the state park and will then proceed to the wildlife refuge. Participants furnish their own transportation. Withdrawals not accepted after 14 days before trip date.
