Share ideas and create items such as dishcloths, afghans, mittens and caps, which would make wonderful gifts. Help will be provided as needed. Have you seen others wearing beautiful handmade knitted projects and thought I wish I could make something like that? Well, look no further. The Cary Senior Center will be offering a beginners knitting session! During the 8 week course you will learn the basics such as casting on, binding off, knit and purl, garter stitch and stockinette stitch. When the class is finished you will be able to comfortably tackle other knitting techniques. Students will supply their own materials.
