This camp will be your chance to challenge your wild side. Mon–Fri Jul 6–10 1–4 p.m. T4 003383 Location: Stevens Nature Center Instructor: Program Staff Fees: $76(R) $96(N) (5 classes) WETLAND WARRIORS (Age 10–13) Trek into remote areas of the preserve to seek out frogs, fish, snakes and more! Each day will be a new wildlife adventure. Mon–Fri Jul 27–31 1–4 p.m. T4 003384 Location: Stevens Nature Center Instructor: Program Staff Fees: $76(R) $96(N) (5 classes) Outdoor Recreation Advanced Fishing Camp (age 13–17) Learn the basics of freshwater fishing, including angling for bass, bluegills, catfish, carp, and more. Learn the proper way to bait hooks with a variety of bait and learn the basics of casting with fly rods, close-faced reels, and cane poles. Cleaning and cooking your catch are also discussed. Bring their own rod/reel or borrow our equipment. LIFE ON THE WILD SIDE (age 8–10) Match your skills against nature! We'll mix challenging explorations with discovering techniques to survive outdoor adventures. It's sure to be an adventure! Mon–Fri Jul 20–24 1–4 p.m. T4 003381 Location: Stevens Nature Center Instructor: Program Staff Fees: $76(R) $96(N) (5 classes) Weather Policy Outdoor Recreation camps are outside for the entire time. Camps run rain or shine; however may camps be cancelled day-of due to poor or dangerous weather. In these few cases camps will be canceled by 8:30 a.m. and the day refunded.
