This camp will be your chance to challenge your wild side. Each day will be a new wildlife adventure. Mon–Fri Jul 27–31 1–4 p.m. T4 003384 Location: Stevens Nature Center Instructor: Program Staff Fees: $76(R) $96(N) (5 classes) Outdoor Recreation Advanced Fishing Camp (age 13–17) Learn the basics of freshwater fishing, including angling for bass, bluegills, catfish, carp, and more. Learn the proper way to bait hooks with a variety of bait and learn the basics of casting with fly rods, close-faced reels, and cane poles. Cleaning and cooking your catch are also discussed. Bring their own rod/reel or borrow our equipment. Camps run rain or shine; however may camps be cancelled day-of due to poor or dangerous weather. In these few cases camps will be canceled by 8:30 a.m. and the day refunded.
