The Western Wake Regional Water Reclamation Facility began operation
in 2014. The facility is a biological nutrient removal facility, located on
Reclamation Road, and serves residents and businesses in the Towns of Apex,
Cary, and Morrisville. The facility discharges exceptionally-treated water to the
Cape Fear River downstream of the Buckhorn Dam.
