48 PART FOUR GENERAL INFORMATION REGISTER ONLINE: mycary.org "I'm so pleased to see how well my son is doing. His language has really improved since starting camp. I'm so grateful to you and your staff for your encouragement and support over these last weeks!" —Mother of Camper "My daughter really enjoyed herself and I am so proud of her, so thankful to you all for your willingness to offer inclusion programs and the care you've shown with her. I certainly will spread the word. My son enjoyed camp with you all for years. My daughter is a special case though and you gave us so much comfort and assurance. Thank you, may God bless you and the staff always!" —Mother of Camper Specialized Recreation See the Summer 2022 Program Guide for programs designed for persons with disabilities. Inclusion Services The Town of Cary Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources Department is committed to an inclusive approach to recreation and encourages individuals with and without disabilities to participate together. In order for individuals with disabilities to participate as fully as possible, reasonable modifications will be provided in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. If you or a family member requires a reasonable modification to participate in a program, please check the appropriate box on the registration form. We require a minimum of two weeks' notice. WHAT DOES "REASONABLE MODIFICATION" MEAN? The Town of Cary Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources Department supports access to existing programs for participants with disabilities by offering reasonable and appropriate resources to the participant. Resources may include, but are not limited to: supportive/adaptive materials, program/site-specific training, and/or additional staff support. I HAVE INDICATED THAT REASONABLE MODIFICATION IS NECESSARY. WHAT HAPPENS NEXT? Once you have indicated that a reasonable modification is needed, a staff member will contact you to discuss your request and provide you with an inclusion support form, which you'll need to complete as thoroughly and accurately as possible. All information is confidential and is shared only with the staff members who will be working directly with you or your family member. This information will be used to better serve the participant in our programs. WE WANT YOU TO KNOW . . . You are a valued participant, and your involvement in our programs, parks system, and facilities is important to us.
