TOW N O F C A RY L A Z Y DA ZE A RTS & C R A F TS FESTIVA L 2022 2 FEATURED ARTWORK Charlton Cole began painting as a student in St. Ann, Jamaica, where he was praised and awarded for his artwork. He entered an arts competition sponsored by the Health Organization of Jamaica with a piece demonstrating the effects of drugs on pregnancy which led the Government of Jamaica to commission him to create a charity exhibition. Its success launched several commissions for his artwork. Later, Charlton became a Kids Coordinator and Artist at FDR Pebbles, where he sold more than 100 pieces of art before he was 20 years old. Charlton currently aspires to gain exposure on the international market, where he may bring new life and meaning to the profession. A Local Treasure Medium: Acrylic Charlton Cole @CharltonsArt Lazy Daze Arts & Crafts Festival and Spring Daze Arts & Crafts Festival are administered through the Town of Cary's Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources Department, which is dedicated to providing a variety of events that focus on community building. Each year, proceeds from the festival are given back to the community in the form of grants benefiting projects that have a cultural arts focus, supporting Town of Cary and Downtown Cary initiatives. OVER THE PAST 45 YEARS $800,000+ HAS BEEN RETURNED TO THE CARY COMMUNITY IMPACTING 80+ nonprofit orgs and PROJECTS ARTS GRANTS
