Originally from Beijing, China, Min moved to the United States in 1998 and considers North Carolina
home. In 2010, Min began taking evening art classes for leisure while working a full-time corporate
job. In 2015, Min made the decision to pursue drawing and painting full-time and has since devoted
countless hours to her practice. Her style is continuously evolving, but her painting principles
remain the same: she always has an emotional connection to her subjects. Currently, Min primarily
uses oil paints to depict people and places of North Carolina. Her hard work and dedication
have paid off in the form of numerous awards and recognition. Min states on her website, "I try to
empathize with my subjects to tell a story, explore an idea, or convey a feeling. I hope the captured
moment will resonate with the viewer."
