SPECIAL EVENTS 10 REGISTER ONLINE: mycary.org PART ONE CARYNC.GOV/HOH LETTERS TO SANTA November 20 -December 10 Downtown Cary We've made special arrangements for Downtown Cary to be a drop-off site for letters to Santa Claus! Little ones enjoy this annual tradition as we prepare for Santa's flight over Cary. Drop off letters in the Santa Mailbox by December 10, and your child will hear back from our jolly friend in red! Remember to include your child's name and return address on each letter. 12TH ANNUAL GIFTING TREE PROJECT Downtown Cary You are invited to participate in a Christmas tree decorating contest with a charitable twist! Represent your family, organization, workplace, or school by decorating a tree. The public is invited to vote for their favorite, and the winning tree will have a donation made to the nonprofit of their choice. Registration forms are due by November 17 or while supplies last. 13 TH ANNUAL GINGERBREAD HOUSE COMPETITION December 2 | Downtown Cary Visit Downtown Cary as it is transformed into a walking gallery of amateur gingerbread houses. Local participants work hard to design, create, and display a gingerbread house that is yummy enough for an elf's visit! Participants must register by November 17 and all houses will be on display in select downtown businesses on Saturday, December 3 with the winners being displayed all December long at the Cary Arts Center. VICTORIAN CHRISTMAS AT THE PAGE-WALKER Saturday, December 2 | 2-5 p.m. Page-Walker Arts & History Center Enjoy an old-fashioned Christmas atmosphere at the Page-Walker Hotel this winter! There will be cookies, cider, carolers, an activity for kids, heritage music, and holiday storytelling, and don't miss the carriage rides! CARY PLAYERS PRESENT "A GIFT TO REMEMBER" Saturday, December 2 | 3 p.m. & 7:30 p.m. Cary Arts Center In a Christmas Eve snowstorm, a group of strangers are forced to take shelter at a small depot. Despite the dispiriting hardships, they accept their fate and find ways to celebrate the true spirit of Christmas. TOWN OF CARY CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTING Saturday, December 2 | 6 p.m. Downtown Cary Welcome in the holiday season with the official Christmas Tree Lighting for Cary. This festive night features actors, singers, and musicians from the community and is capped by the lighting of the Official Cary Christmas Tree. WHITE CHRISTMAS SING-ALONG December 14-17 | The Cary Theater Get in the holiday spirit and sing along to Irving Berlin's classic tunes with The Cary's annual showing of White Christmas.
