Special Activities HISTORY TIMELINE For nearly half a century, the Lazy Daze Arts & Crafts Festival has welcomed guests from all over to the heart of downtown Cary, NC for two days filled with art, entertainment, food, and making memories. Stroll down memory lane as we look through 47 years of the Lazy Daze Arts & Crafts Festival! OYEZ! OYEZ! - TOWN OF CARY'S TOWN CRIER AT LAZY DAZE Cary's official Town Crier, John Webster, and his wife, Mary Webster, are back at Lazy Daze making announcements, greeting patrons, and adding fun to the day! The Websters hail from Markham, Ontario, Canada, one of Cary's sister cities. You'll be able to pick them out from the crowd because they come fully dressed in Town Crier regalia. ARTIST DEMONSTRATIONS Inside Herb Young Community Center, enjoy the cool A/C while local artisan guilds demonstrate their amazing crafts. Learn about leatherworking with Raleigh Leatherworks Guild, explore the craft of gourd painting with the NC Gourd Society, and watch as the Triangle Weavers weave their magic! Make sure to also stop by Section F to experience the Woodturners Guild of NC as they demonstrate the art of woodturning! MOTHERS' RETREAT New this year! Located inside Herb Young Community Center, this dedicated space is designed to provide a clean, comfortable, and inclusive environment for nursing mothers and those with young children.
