GETTING THE MOST FROM YOUR PRESCRIPTION PLAN
• Specialty Medications – PrudentRx will work with you to obtain $0 out-of-pocket
coverage for select high-cost specialty limited distribution drugs. They will connect you
with drug manufacturers who provide copay card assistance as well as guide you through
the copay card renewal process when necessary. For additional information about the
PrudentRx Copay Program, please contact PrudentRx directly at 1-800-578-4403.
• Prescriptions for Generic Medications – If a generic is available, the plan will only pay
for the generic drug. If you choose to buy the Brand name drug, you will be required to
pay the Brand co-pay plus the difference in cost between the Generic and Brand drug.
• Requesting a 90-Day Supply for Maintenance Medications – If you take a
maintenance medication for an ongoing condition, you are encouraged to sign up
for a 90-day supply and save money. You can receive a 3 month supply for the
cost of 2 months.
• Utilizing Mail Order – A 90-day prescription can be filled at your local CVS or Target OR
you can have your physician submit your prescription directly to CVS/Caremark's Mail
Order Service using the FastStart program.

and your ID card available and you will need to register at Caremark.com or contact
RxBenefits at 1-800-334-8134 for assistance.
• Diabetic Services - Cary is partnering with Teladoc Health to offer Livongo. This program
offers services to help educate and monitor Diabetes. Receive the motivation you need,
the personalized insight, challenges, and coaching to live the life you want. For detailed

• Gender Affirming & Transgender Care - Cary's prescription plan covers gender
reassignment and transgender care. Hormonal therapy medications are covered
without restrictions or prior authorizations.
