VOLUNTARY MEDICAL FLEXIBLE SPENDING ACCOUNT You do not have to be enrolled in any Cary benefits to be eligible for a Voluntary Medical FSA or a Voluntary Dependent Care FSA. However, if you elect the Traditional Medical Plan, you can only enroll in the Voluntary Medical Flexible Spending Account (FSA) is an account you can set outside pre-tax dollars for eligible health-related expenses. This benefit is administered by the P&A Group. If you elect the High Deductible Medical Plan, you are eligible for a Health Savings Account (HSA) and can also enroll in the Voluntary Dependent Care FSA. ELIGIBILITY Employees are eligible to enroll in the voluntary medical FSA, regardless of if you are enrolled in a medical insurance plan. However, you are not eligible to enroll in the Voluntary Medical FSA if you have enrolled in the Medical - High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP). CONTRIBUTIONS An employee can contribute to the Voluntary Medical FSA on a pre-tax basis. Cary does not contribute to this account. MAXIMUM ELECTION AMOUNT You can contribute up to $3,200 per year (maximum IRS limits) to the Voluntary Medical FSA. AVAILABLE FUNDS The total amount you elect is available immediately, as of your hire date or July 1st. TYPES OF ELIGIBLE EXPENSES These funds can be used to pay for eligible health-related expenses for you and any immediate family member regardless of if they are on Cary 's medical insurance plan. Examples of eligible expenses include: • Deductibles, copays and coinsurance • Some "out-of-pocket" expenses not covered by insurance • Many prescription medications You can also shop at FSAStore.com to have access to FSA products and services. USE OF FUNDS You can use these funds for Expenses must have incurred during the plan year (July 1 — June 30). Reimbursement can be submitted through September 30th but only for expenses incurred within the plan year. To use this money, use the debit card provided, electronically submit a claim or fax the FSA Reimbursement Claim Form to 1-877-855-7105. P&A GROUP NEWS FLASH The FSA is an inclusive benefit. Services and care such as gender affirming as well as hormone therapy are eligible expenses. ELIGIBILITY You cannot enroll in this benefit if you are on the HDHP with a HSA.
