C-PHIT
(CARY'S PERSONAL HEALTH IMPROVEMENT TOGETHER)
C-PHIT is Cary's voluntary wellness program that focuses on
offering programs, challenges, seminars and resources to
support employees in achieving their optimal well-being.
There are many programs and offerings through C-PHIT.
HEALTHY REWARDS PROGRAM
Employees have the choice to lower their medical premiums by 1) completing an
annual physical, 2) completing a dental exam and cleaning, AND 3) submitting the
physical form and dental form to WakeMed. See below for steps and deadlines:
Current Employee: On July 1, 2024, all employees who have earned the lower medical
insurance rate for the current plan year will continue to receive the lower rate until
the end of the calendar year.
To continue receiving the lower insurance rate as of January 1, 2025, employees must:
1. Complete a physical with a primary care provider between January 1, 2024 and
December 15, 2024;
2. Complete a dental exam and cleaning between January 1, 2024 and December 15,
2024; AND
3.
Submit the physical form and dental form to WakeMed by December 15, 2024.
Employees who choose not to complete the physical and dental exam with cleaning and/or
who do not submit the forms by December 15, 2024 will pay the higher rate (Standard
Rate) starting January 1, 2025 through at least June 30, 2025.
New Hires: Steps for new hires vary slightly based on hire date. Here are key things to
know:
New Hires hired through September 30, 2024: New hires have 90 days, from their date
of hire, to 1) complete an annual physical with a primary care provider, 2) complete a
dental exam and cleaning, and 3) submit the physical form and dental form to WakeMed.
The physical and dental exam with cleaning must have been completed anytime on/after
January 1, 2024. New hires who choose not to complete the physical and dental exam with
cleaning and/or who do not submit the forms within their first 90 days from their date of
hire will start paying the higher rate (Standard Rate) through at least December 31, 2024.
For the upcoming calendar year, new hires must:
1. Complete a physical with a primary care provider between January 1, 2024 and
December 15, 2024, which can be the same physical that was completed within
their first 90 days;
2. Complete a dental exam and cleaning between January 1, 2024 and December 15,
2024, which can be the same exam with cleaning that was completed within their
first 90 days; AND
3. Submit the physical form and dental form to WakeMed by December 15, 2024.
Employees who choose not to complete the physical and dental exam with cleaning and/or
who do not submit the forms within their first 90 days from their date of hire will start
paying the higher rate (Standard Rate) through at least June 30, 2025.
