Singin' in the Rain with the NC Symphony All trips leave from the Cary Senior Center. Return times are approximate. Space is limited and cost only covers admissions/transportation. NC Museum of Art Presents Porsche by Design Featuring more than 20 automobiles, Porsche by Design presents cars owned by Ralph Lauren, Steve McQueen, and Janis Joplin, as well as the one-of-a-kind Panamericana concept car on loan from the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart, Germany. Car lovers will appreciate the rarity and engineering genius of the automobiles on view. Art lovers will be intrigued by Porsche design and the connections that can be drawn with other works of art. All will gain a deep appreciation for hallmarks of the Porsche marque: beauty, artistry, technology, and innovation. Lunch will follow at Backyard Bistro. (Ages 50+) Join us for a memorable sightseeing adventure on this narrated glide that's infused with information about Raleigh's fascinating past. This hour and a half tour focuses on the Oakwood Historic District, a pretty downtown neighborhood filled with restored 19th-century homes in a variety of architectural styles. See where prominent city founders once lived and tour through the rolling, park-like grounds of historic Oakwood Cemetery. A segway is a two wheel self balancing battery powered vehicle that does not require any special skill. No previous experience is necessary as a short training will take place before the tour. You must weigh between 100-260 lbs. and must be able to stand in place for an hour and a half. Lunch is not included in trip fee but will be at a local Raleigh restaurant.
