Chatham Street (919) 858-0464 WakeMed Soccer Park is a 150 acre athletic complex with seven fields designed for matches, training, and clinics in addition to a cross country course. The facility includes a 10,000 seat stadium that has locker rooms for teams and officials, concession facilities, meet - ing/ press rooms, and training rooms. The cross country course is open to the general public even when the park has scheduled rentals on its fields, unless the rentals or special events involve exclusive use of the park or cross country course. WakeMed Soccer Park is located off Chatham Street between Maynard Road and the I-40 overpass. The complex has 4 lighted fields designed and built to Major League Baseball standards. Fields are available by reservation for tournaments and individual use. It was built in a part- nership with USA Baseball and serves as the training facility for their Youth to Professional National Teams who participate internationally. The Town also hosts a variety of local, regional and national baseball tournaments, games and other events annually at the NTC, includ- ing the NCAA Division II Baseball Championship and the Tobacco Road Marathon. The performance season runs from April through October, and is the summer home of the North Carolina Symphony and a variety of performances, including mov- ies, throughout the season. Cary tenniS Park 2727 Louis Stephens Drive (919) 462-2061 Located on 24 acres, Cary Tennis Park is the state's largest hard sur- face public facility. It features 33 tennis courts—29 78' courts, 8 of which are lined for the ten and under 60' play format; and 4 perma- nent 36' courts. Amenities include a grandstand court, double-sid- ed practice wall, locker rooms with showers, and a clubhouse with meeting room. Clinics and private lessons are offered. Chatham St. (919) 462-2054 The Cary Theater opened in February 2014 and returned to its original glory as Cary's first movie house. The Cary offers indepen- dent films, music, and performance including comedy and theater. The 15,800-square foot building features a 180-seat theater with a stage and backstage area appropriate for film screenings as well as live performances. The space also has a concession area, large first and second floor lobbies, and dressing rooms. The Cary is open to the public only during scheduled events.
