SPECIAL EVENTS (919) 469-4061 www.townofcary.org 3 JULY Black Irish & the Town of Cary present The Monster Initiative Cary Arts Center Saturday, July 19 noon-1:30 p.m. Master Class 1 noon-2 p.m. Photo Shoot 1 2-3:30 p.m. Master Class 2 2-4 p.m. Photo Shoot 2 4-6 p.m. Master Class (combined) Tickets: $35 The Monster Initiative: workshop + photo shoot is designed to give you, the dancer, all you need for your next audition. Not only will you have an opportunity to take two Black Irish classes, you will have access to our photographer to get studio quality dance shots you can use for your next audition site. The Monster Initiative gives dancers an opportunity to be exposed to complex and fluid movement and get photos…that much is clear. However, when dancers are in front of a camera and one still shot is the focus, most become hesitant and stop thinking clearly due to stress. This shoot, while being a power shoot, will enable dancers to become comfortable and knowledgeable of what is needed to capture a strong photo, what works/doesn't work in a photo to cap - ture their own personal style and what is needed to show personal strengths. Recommended for ages 13 and up. For more, (919) 462-2055 or www.iamblackirish.com. (If you would prefer to take 3 classes and no photo shoot, we can accommodate that as well). Black Irish & the Town of Cary present NOISE The Cary Theater Friday, July 25 | 7 p.m. Saturday, July 26 | 3 & 7 p.m. Sunday, July 27 | 3 p.m. Tickets: VIP, $30; Before June 1, $15; After June 1, $20 NOISE is a dance project that digs deeper into what makes commu- nity members look, listen and take notice. Through four prompts (so- cial/iconic/audible/visual) the show is exciting, vibrant, physically demanding and makes, well, NOISE! Despite the name no ear plugs are needed, but be ready to smile, sway and sit up as we showcase contemporary movement in the loudest way possible! NOISE has been developed to inspire the greater community. Because of this intent, each show will have a Q&A immediately fol - lowing to create a dialogue between the dancers, dance enthusiasts and first time viewers. For more, (919) 469-4061 or www.iamblackirish.com. Don't miss the art exhibition, "Noise Travels", at the Cary Arts Center. Look in the Gallery Exhibition section of this brochure for more information.
