78 Cary Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources SPORTS Fall Basketball (age 5-8) Instructional basketball program for boys and girls emphasizing skill development, participation for all players, sportsmanship and fun. The season begins with practices in late August and games begin- ning in September. Children age 9 & up will register in October for winter play. The program registration form in this brochure is not valid for this activity. All five year olds must provide a copy of their birth certificate with registration. BaSeBall CliNiCS Pitching Mechanics (age 10-13) This clinic is designed to enhance proper pitching mechanics and throwing sequencing. A major emphasis will be placed on direc- tional throwing and arm care. The clinic is instructional with a high level of player interaction through drill work and situational throw- ing. Location: Thomas Brooks Park, Field 7 Instructor: Town of Cary Baseball Instructors Fees: $20(R) $26(N) (1 class) 77037 Mon Jul 21 6-7 p.m. YOUTH SPORTS PHILOSOPHY.... Fun – Learning to play for the purpose of enjoying participation. Participation – Providing equal opportunity for play.
