Wellness/Outdoor Rec 32 June–August 2014 Cary Senior Center Breathing & Meditation Techniques An absolute revision of breathing meditation tech- niques. Breathing exercises and meditation tech- niques help relax your body and synchronize your thought process through breathing and medita- tion. This class will identify valuable steps to ac- quire these techniques and improve your health. In modern days, Western Medicine has also proved the benefits of a meditation prac- tice. These benefits include: lowering high blood pressure, reducing anxiety, ease of breathing and better focus to name only a few. In this class you will learn and practice mediation for a better and more relaxed life. Location: Classroom 302 Instructor: Michael Hronas Fees: $38(R) $49(N) (8 classes) 76817 Thu Jun 19-Aug 21 2-2:50 p.m. (no class 6/26 & 7/24) Outdoor Rec Healthy Hikers Have you ever thought about taking up hiking as a hobby, but you have no clue where to start, or have you been hiking for years and are interested in join- ing a group. This is your chance to meet up with other hiking enthusiasts and enjoy all that Mother Nature has to offer. More information about the locations is available at registration. Limited sets of hiking poles are available to borrow on a first come first serve basis for scheduled day hikes. This group will meet in the CSC parking lot and drive together. Please dress for the weather and wear appropriate shoes. More information as what to bring/wear can be found at the CSC front desk. Location: Cary Senior Center Parking Lot William B. Proper shoes and clothing attire is re- quired for all fitness classes. It is always a good idea to bring a water bottle and a towel. Additional equipment may be necessary for a class so please have that equipment ready to use on the first day. This information will be noted on the receipt when registering.
